 Rider Profile

Hello, my name is Eunice Parrish. I've been riding motorcycles since I was 5 yrs old and just recently quit Road Racing to do Drag Racing. Up until the end of 2006 I've played around with drag racing for fun on my completely stock CBR929 (other than a custom red white and blue patriotic paint scheme) foot shifting, getting 10.2's and 10.3's.

In Oct of 2006, I purchased my first Hayabusa, that was pretty much already set up for drag racing. It was lowered a little, extended allot, had an air shifter, stock motor and clutch with a small dry shot of nitrous and a Power Commander map from RCC Turbo.

  • 1st day I was in low 10's...

  • 2nd day I was in high 9's...

  • 3rd day I was in mid 9's..

  • 4th track day I was getting 9.2's ALL with NO spray.

This closed out my 2006 Busa experience.

Over the winter with some helpful advice from Lonnie Angel - I made some of my own modifications to change the bike from being set up for a 220lb rider to a 135lb rider. I changed out the rear sprocket, put on adjustable lowering links to lower the chassis a bit more, shortened up the wheelbase from 74' to 66' by putting on a shorter swing arm, had my forks cut to 1.5” of travel and put on an Ohlins Rear shock and Hyper Pro steering damper. I also installed Boost By Smiths Launch and Shift Light Indicator, Canadian Mike's Billet Slave cover, and new EBC brake pads. When the 2007 season was ready to start I had new Ultra Soft Shinko Tires put on.

Beginning of 2007 season, I discovered I had tranny problems with the bike popping in and out of 2-3 gear keeping me from bettering my times. Once this was fixed and starting my spray with a small progressive shot I was getting consistent 8.8 passes. This was still with stock motor and stock clutch. Shortly after this I was told I needed to get a lock up put on to better my times. With the help of Nemesio Beltran, we installed a single stage lock up and set it up to feather my clutch just a hair off the line to loose the bog I was getting. After a few short test and tune days we got it dialed in and was getting 8.7's and 8.6's.

My 2007 season ended prematurely due to the engine cases cracking at US131 when we were getting ready to turn up the spray and try getting some 8.5's out of the stock motor. It was discovered that the person who replaced my bent shift fork and shaft did not put the cases back together correctly causing this to happen.

Before I moved to the Chicago area, I ended the 2007 season in Michigan at Ubly Dragstrip with 4 First Place Wins in their Outlaw Street Drags Heads-up Class and 1 Second Place win. My 2007 season in Illinois consisted of more test and tune events with a couple Street ET Bracket Races, which was hard to do because we were still in the stages of setting up the new lockup and my times were all over the place. However at Great Lakes Dragway in WI, I did manage to take several second place wins where I bracket raced against anything from cars to sleds. At the Osceola, IN event I took 3rd place against ALL Turbo Busa's in their Heads-up Grudge Match.

My plans were to take the stock motor as far as I could go before making any changes for the next season and with having done that I was ready to consider my options for my 2007 winter project.

With the help of sponsorship from RCC Turbo my 2008 season plan was to go with their Ultra Turbo and change some other chassis setups to make it more along the lines of a true Pro Street drag bike and to see 7's. Richard @ RCC Turbo did all the motor work, tuning, wiring, and part of the chassis changes such as cutting the seat rails and installing a new Catalyst tank and tail section along with a custom RCC sub-frame. Nemesio and I swapped out my front wheel for a 16”, installed the Machine Works Racing offset triple trees and clip-ons, along with the Canadian Mike Swingarm, Tiger Racing Chain Guard and license plate holder. We also moved the battery to the front of the bike using the Gatlin Racing Battery Tray.

With my 2008 Season underway, we had been chasing down some wheelie problems. One of which was the cause for a wipeout in May that left me with a broken finger. This kept me out of the season for 2mths waiting for it to heal after surgery. Not long after getting back into the game I became the First Female to run 7’s on a Pro Street Bike. Making me the World's Quickest Female on a Street Tire, with no Slider or wheelie bar.

Through the remainder of my short season I managed to take 2nd place in Four Events (3) at US131 and (1) at Byron Dragway. Despite our hold backs I was very pleased with my results from my Rookie Year on an RCC TURBO.

With the 2008 season behind me now, I started out 2009 with competing in my first AMA Pro Street Event at Valdosta, GA in March. It was quite the honor to be there with many of the well known Pro Street Racers. Facing some complications with a new clutch setup and a leaking radiator.. I did not do as well as I'd hoped for my first appearance. I did manage to make 3 passes that were all in the 7's becoming the First Female to make a 7 sec pass to qualify in the top 13 of the field.     I'll get 'em next time ;o).

My Plans for 2009 include racing at:

  • Byron, IL for their Shootout Class in 2WheelSpeed

  • Union Grove, WI for their Shootout Class in TrueStreet

  • Various Tracks for the AMA Pro Street Series

  • US131 in Martin, MI for their Battle of the Bikes

  • hope to make the Canadian Fastest Streetbike Shootout in Grand Bend.

My greatest thanks goes out to my crew chief, Nemesio Beltran, for all his help and support. Without him I would not be able to do what I do. I also owe my thanks to Lonnie Angel for his assistance trackside from my first time at the drag strip on my CBR929  through my acquisition of his brother's Busa.

I can not leave out my gratitude for the continued support from my sponsors all of whom this build would not have been possible: RCC Turbo, Bellman Oil, Competition Race Fuel, SYED Leathers, Schnitz Racing, Boost by Smith, Canadian Mike, Cycle-Tek, Tiger Racing, and Machine Works Racing.
